A Day of Listening

…listening to God,
…listening to Each Other

Next Event:
Date TBD, 2021

Listening postureWhen someone important wants to meet with us, we clear our calendars and make the time. Yet most of us struggle to make time for the most important relationship in our lives – our relationship with God.

Be still and know that I am God.

– Psalm 46:10

Our culture conditions us for constant noise and stimulation. Yet God doesn’t usually compete with that – He patiently waits for us to come to Him.

This is an invitation to set aside one day – a mere eight hours – as an offering to the Lord; an opportunity to demonstrate to God and to yourself that you trust Him to keep your world spinning on its axis without your help for a day.

Times of solitude — listening to God — will be interspersed with times of sharing — listening to and encouraging each other.

…and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds…encouraging one another…

– Hebrews 10:24-25

If this is a new experience for you, you won’t be stranded without guidance. We’ll help you strengthen your “listening muscles”.

This isn’t a seminar, although you’ll likely learn some things. It isn’t a Bible study, although you will engage with scripture.

It’s a day of Sabbath rest. A day of listening.

A TIME TO RESTORE YOUR SOUL…
